Separate Reality

 My Virtual Room

It's so clean, not even one scrap of paper on the floor.
I must be dreaming...

 Lament of the Proverbial Bookworm

It just came to me, this question. Why wasn't I born as the one who has everything?
Well, maybe not everything but at least the one
of the best things; a best brain or best looks
    or best talent.
I would've liked having the most beautiful voice
    which would mesmerize anyone who listens to it;
ability to create breathtaking images by just
picking up a pencil or a brush on a whim,
    and it would take little effort;
extraordinary skill to write a story that would
move one's mind and soul to such height and depth
    that will leave them breathless.
People used to look at me as if I was some exotic
creature. They constantly would stop and turn
    around to look at me in fascination again and again;
    men, women, children alike.
But I knew better, I could see all my flaws,
    they didn't.
So, how lucky am I to have found a man who can
see and know all my flaws yet, still thinks
    I am beautiful?
You have a beautiful voice, they said.
You could draw so well, so talented, they said.
I once thought I could write.
Everyone who knew me thought I could write.
I impressed some teachers and awed some
    classmates.
    But I knew better.
    I have no endurance;
inspiration comes and goes in such short spurts.
I have no staying power, I get easily distracted.
Every time I look around, there is always
something else that attracts me more.
The biggest culprit is the books!
They are everywhere and there just isn't
enough time to read them all.

 Her side of the story...

The following was written by the blonde featured in so many jokes. This is her side of the story....

How many honest, intelligent, caring men in the world does it take
to do the dishes?
Both of them.

Why did the man cross the road?
He heard the chicken was a slut.

Why don't women blink during foreplay?
They don't have time.

Why does it take 1 million sperm to fertilize one egg?
They don't stop and ask for directions.

How does a man show that he is planning for the future?
He buys two cases of beer.

What is the difference between men and government bonds?
The bonds mature.

Why are blonde jokes so short?
So men can remember them.

How many men does it take to change a roll of toilet paper?
We don't know; it has never happened.

Why is it difficult to find men who are sensitive, caring and good
looking?
They all already have boyfriends.

What do you call a woman who knows where her husband is every night?
A widow.

When do you care for a man's company?
When he owns it.

Why are married women heavier than single women?
Single women come home, see what's in the fridge and go to bed.
Married women come home, see what's in bed and go to the fridge.

How did Pinocchio find out he was made of wood?
His hand caught fire.

How do you get a man to do sit-ups?
Put the remote control between his toes.

What did God say after creating man?
I must be able to do better than that.

What did God say after creating Eve?
Practice makes perfect.

What is the one thing that all men at singles bars have in common?
They're married.

Man says to God: "God, why did you make woman so beautiful?"
God says:"So you would love her."
"But God," the man says, "why did you make her so dumb?"
God says: "So she would love you."

 Another Music

I ask you to pause and to hear it again, but you sweep ahead to hear another music. It's true we cannot live on echoes.
